Matt's Trek for Hope Update

Back in April, I introduced you to a gentleman by the name of Matt Parrish.  Matt is walking across the United States from Tampa, Florida to Los Angeles, California and back to raise donations and awareness for the Special Operations Warrior Foundation.  You can read the original post here. He has already walked over 1800 miles with about 850 more to go before turning around and doing it all over again.  Matt is currently held up in El Paso, Texas waiting for fellow supporter, Chris Williams, to arrive with his escort vehicle.  Chris has restored an M998 Medivac Humvee and plans to provide water and shelter to Matt on the next stretch of his trek.  Donations to Matt and Chris will help fuel the vehicle and supply them with water and shelter through blistering temperatures over 100 degrees.  Keeping Matt on his Trek will help him spread the message about this great cause.You can keep up with Matt by visiting his Facebook Page and by following his blog.  If you are near an area his is approaching, please reach out to Matt with support.  You can also contact local radio and television stations to notify them of Matt's Trek for Hope.With the help of Matt and his mother, Brenda, I have put together a slideshow from a few photos he has taken along the way.[iframe http://player.vimeo.com/video/24833125 850 478]
