A Must See!
You've probably heard the phrase "Lasciate ogne speranza, voi ch'intrate". No? How about, "Abandon all hope, ye who enter here"? That is the most common translation from the Inferno which is part of Dante Alighieri's Divine Comedy. This phrase is inscribed above the gates of hell in which Dante passes through. So why am I talking about the gates of hell? The LSU Museum of Art has on display selected works of The Gates of Hell, The Burghers of Calais, and more from Auguste Rodin. The exhibit opened this past weekend and will be here through April 19th. It is an excellent collection and a must see while it is here. I know I'm going to see it again; in the meantime, here are some teasers. Click here for more info.
