A Chilly Fashion Shoot
Last weekend I finally got a chance to work with hair and make-up artist Blair Johnston (www.lanuitcigale.com). We have been trying to schedule a shoot for months. Well we have now had that opportunity and it was great! Blair called upon a local model, Katelyn Simmers, to be our canvas for this shoot. She was literally Blair's canvas. The first part of the shoot, Blair glued thin broken pieces of slate to Katelyn's back. I met with Blair to discuss the shoot a couple of days before and set out to find a location suitable for both the nature of the shoot as well as the content of her work. We stood in water, mud, and briars for as long as we could in the 30 degree weather, and I snapped as fast as my frozen finger could move. The second part of the shoot was a little more tame, but we were still freezing. Given the conditions I think Blair, Katelyn, and Amanda did well. Best of luck to Blair as she's headed for California to pursue her dreams!!
